Chimani, Inc., has added a pair of sales and marketing pros to its growing Portland, Maine based team focused on developing the leading mobile guides to the U.S. National Parks and beyond.
New Sales Manager Peter Domingos brings a diverse skill set to Chimani, having formerly led the sales team at employment site JobsInThe US.com before earning a Master’s degree in International Studies from the University of California at San Diego and working as a radio producer and instructor, with a special interest in documentaries.
Domingos, who says he favors “small businesses and the creative juices that they require to be successful,” grew up in coastal Maine. “My first hike was Mt. Katahdin in Baxter State Park,” he says. “That began my passion for the outdoors, and it continues today whether in the Olympic National Forest or on the Hawaiian Islands.”
Thomas Tash III, Chimani’s new Marketing Manager, most recently was a graphic designer and marketing strategist at Rockland, Maine’s Dream Local Digital, where he was responsible for branding, copy editing, web design and overall client appearance for social media networking and internet presence.
Thomas also founded and edited Campfire Magazine, with the mission of connected Maine’s low-income residents with outdoor recreational opportunities, ran social media campaigns for the nonprofit Great Maine Outdoor Weekend, and worked as Recreation Director and web designer for the town of Bridgton, Maine.
