Philip Hussey, Chimani’s new App Production Coordinator, is shepherding an ambitious slate of new National Parks mobile apps from conception to production during the Park Service’s Centennial year. The job might seem daunting to some, but it’s just the latest step on an adventurous journey that has led Hussey from the halls of power to constructions sites and the Middle East before returning home to work in his native Maine.
An outdoor enthusiast and self-professed political junkie, Hussey joined Portland, Maine-based Chimani in March. He graduated from Colby College with degrees in government and business, and spent two years during his time at Colby as a legislative aide in the Maine State Senate. After graduation, he worked in construction in the Pacific Northwest, and as a specialist for an online education program at the Harvard Business School.
Most recently, Philip served as the interim Director of Communications at the Ramallah Friends School in the Palestinian city of Ramallah.
“I joined Chimani because it’s a company on the cutting edge of its industry and in a field filled with passion,” says Hussey. “Whether it’s on the ocean or in the mountains, the outdoors offers everyone a chance to connect, discover, and explore, and I’m excited to be part of a team ensuring more people have that chance.”
